Part-Time Home Care Worker (1 Position)
Job Description
Mno Endayaan will assist the participants of the Homeward Bound program by providing them with frequent access to a Home Care Worker who will assist them in maintaining their dwellings. This includes monthly cleaning visits that help the mom establish a routine for house cleaning. The Home Care Worker will also establish a family chore chart that will provide the family unit with reasonable expectations for everyone in the home. Knowledge of Indigenous community and history is crucial to supporting the Friendship Centre movement.
This position is for 25 hours per week at $20 per hour.
Qualifications:
- Experience in supporting families.
- Good cleaning, organizing and chore management skills.
- Self-directed and motivated
- Knowledge about health, social, and economic influences that impact Indigenous people of Niagara
- Excellent skills in both written and oral communications
- Proficiency in current computer software an asset
- Must have valid driver’s licence, Insurance and reliable vehicle.
- Must have or be able to obtain a clear CPIC for the Vulnerable Sector.
