The Greg Frewin Theatre is a Las Vegas style Dinner Theatre. We offer dinner as well as appetizers, concessions and a full service bar during our events.

The Theatre hosts the Wild Magic Show performed by International Grand Champion Greg Frewin.

As well we host other theatre performances, concerts and festivals throughout the year.

Available Positions

BUSSER

General responsibilities:

  • Service Assistants are responsible for running food orders to our patrons.
  • Other duties are setting up bus carts, the kitchen service station, coffee station, and also polish silverware.
  • You will also be responsible for clearing customer tables in the theatre of dishes, cutlery, empty glasses and garbage
  • Bring all full carts to the kitchen for sorting/cleaning.
  • Responsible for all other duties from management.
  • Most shifts are 5 hours but periodically throughout the year the shifts may be 8+ hours.
  • This position offers an opportunity to earn an hourly wage plus gratuities.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Salary: From $15.50 per hour

DISHWASHER

General responsibilities:

  • Maintains a clean kitchen, properly washes and sorts soiled dishes, and preps foods if needed.
  • Keeps dish area free of clutter and organized.
  • Sets up dish stations and sinks.
  • Maintains clean / dry floors throughout the shift.
  • Properly washes, stacks, and stores china, glassware, silverware, cookware, and storage containers.
  • Changes water of machines and sinks every two hours, or more often as required by business levels, and properly uses chemical dilutions set by EcoLab.
  • Maintains trash cans throughout shift and removes full trashcans and boxes at the end of each shift.
  • Follows the posted daily dish cleaning duties.
  • Assists in food prep and any other duties set forth or requested by the chef as needed.

HOST/HOSTESS

General responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent welcoming reception customer service to ensure satisfaction
  • Provide seating information to guests
  • Tidy Greeter and Coat Check Area
  • Wipe down all surfaces around greeter area
  • Check all table toppers to ensure they are clean, and all the correct marketing pieces are displayed correctly (aim for completing one level per show)
  • Re-stock all brochures around theatre
  • Ensure autograph booth is kept clean and stocked with proper sharpie markers and bottle of water for autograph signing by Greg Frewin
  • Pick-up group arrival list and floor plan from Box Office
  • Collect group wristbands and distribute
  • Delegate group arrivals to a designated group greeter if applicable
  • Maintain wheelchair and stroller area
  • Maintain lobby cleanliness (straighten chairs, return glasses to the bar)
  • Retail work at the magic shop
  • Remind guests not to loiter in doorways and on ramp
  • Bring any customer concerns/suggestions to the attention of the Supervisor/Manager immediately
  • Working closely with all serving and kitchen staff
  • Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
  • Ensure all safety regulations are implemented and followed
  • Professionally represent the theatre and the operations department at all times
  • All other duties assigned by the House Manager

BOX OFFICE SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Position Summary:

Box Office |Serving customer inquiries via telephone, online and in person for tickets for the Greg Frewin Theatre show offerings with the outcome of a successful ticket sale.  Box Office is located onsite at the Greg Frewin Theatre.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Direct Ticket Sales
  • Provide customers with a positive first impression of the Theatre
  • Providing information on all current shows, events and pricing and other possible events taking place at the theatre
  • The main priority of the Box Office Associate is to provide a high and professional standard of customer care that reflects the mission statement of the Greg Frewin Theatre; this is especially important as they are the first point of contact for the public and must act as a reception for visitors to the building
  • To be aware of the fire evacuation and Health & Safety requirements and report any problems to the Duty Manager
  • To attend Box Office staff meetings wherever necessary
  • Ability to work with 3rd party operators in a timely and professional manner

 Qualifications:

  • Friendly, warm & outgoing personality traits as role requires attracting and soliciting ticket sales
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Proactive and positive attitude.
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
  • Ability to speak, read and write English | second language an asset; but not a requirement
  • Cash Handling: Balancing daily sales receipts; Cash transactions
  • Previous experience working with Point of Sale (POS) devices
  • Ability to work as a part of a team and independently
  • Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to multi-task and perform under sometimes boisterous conditions
  • Excellent problem solving skills

SERVER

Position Summary:
To provide the highest level of service to our guests and clients attending the theatre. Enthusiastic and skillful will provide concession service to theatre patrons and servers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service to ensure satisfaction
  • Arrange table settings (linens, dishes, silverware)
  • Maintain tables before, during, and after guests depart
  • Greet customers and present menu
  • Take and serve food/drink orders and up-sell additional products when appropriate.
  • Attend to any guests with special needs and inform the kitchen of any dietary requirements
  • Refill water and other beverage glasses as required
  • Clear tables throughout the meal, return dishes/cutlery to the kitchen
  • Perform opening and closing procedures as required
  • Assist in keeping the theatre/banquet facilities neat and tidy at all times
  • Bring any customer concerns/suggestions to the attention of the Supervisor/Manager immediately
  • Check products for quality and correct any problems
  • Deliver checks and collect payments
  • Working closely with all serving and kitchen staff
  • Restock and replenish inventory supplies
  • Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
