Welland Jackfish Baseball Club
The Welland Jackfish are looking to hire for the following part-time, seasonal positions for the 2023 season! Every spring the Welland Jackfish look for qualified, customer service-oriented, and outgoing individuals to work at The Pond during our next baseball season.
AVAILABLE POSITIONS
Concession Register
Most of your night, you’ll be the smiling face who takes and helps fulfill fans’ orders as they come to your station. You’ll be expected to get to know them, make sure your station is tidy and stocked, and help wrap food each night. You’ll thrive in this position if you’re naturally attentive, a great multitasker, and love to smile.
Concession Runners / Food Prep
You’ll be the right hand man/woman to the registers, listening to fans’ orders and fulfilling them in a timely (and fun!) manner. You’ll also be expected to keep your station safe, clean, and stocked, and to help wrap food each night. You’ll thrive in this position if you enjoy fast-paced environments, are great at multitasking, and love working on a team.
Bartender
Most of your night will be spent at a station getting to know fans who are looking for a beer, wine, or mixed drink. You’ll also be expected to wrap food and restock your station each night. You’ll thrive in this position if you’re as personable as you are responsible and want to learn how to serve up a great drink.
Cook
Helmet Nachos and World Famous Chilli Dogs – Oh My! You’ll be the one to make all of our specialty food items taste and look amazing for all the fans. You’ll also be expected to make sure your station is safe, clean, and stocked, as well as help wrap food during downtimes each night. You’ll thrive in this position if people always rave about your recipes, group projects are your favourite, and you have no fear working with grills.
Requirements
Candidates should have the ability to be on their feet for extended periods of time while carrying up to 50 pounds and the ability to work in outdoor elements. Candidates must be 16 years of age or older.
