ACTIVITIES ASSISTANT

How would you like to work in a fun, fast-paced, and customer-focused role? Do you enjoy facilitating cool events and activities? We are looking for an Activities Assistant to help make our guests have a wide range of “fun things” they can participate in while visiting one of our resorts.

OVERVIEW
Activities Assistants help coordinate a variety of activities for the guests of a Sun RV Resort.

JOB DUTIES

  1. Assist with planning, coordinating, and supervising activities such as picnics, sporting events, dances, and dinners.
  2. Set-up and clean-up after events.
  3. Help maintain a sheet tracking attendance for each activity.
  4. Assist with training Activity department team members and volunteers.
  5. Assist with distributing weekly newsletter to resort residents and guests.
  6. Ensure all equipment and supplies are kept in good condition.
  7. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Education (some education required, diploma or GED preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Outgoing, friendly personality
  • Strong organization skills

ARCADE ATTENDANT

How would you like to work in a fun, fast-paced, and customer-focused role? We are looking for an enthusiastic Arcade Attendant to help ensure our guests have the best experience possible at one of our RV resorts.

OVERVIEW
As an Arcade Attendant, you’ll be responsible for assisting guests and customers of the arcade facility and performing minor repairs on the game machines.

JOB DUTIES

  1. Smile and greet guests upon entering the arcade.
  2. Assist guests and customers of the arcade; explain operation of game machines and exchange coins for paper currency.
  3. Respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner; provide answers to questions, make recommendations and escalate issues as necessary.
  4. Troubleshoot issues and perform minor repairs on game machines; remove obstructions, reposition mechanism, insert coins, and observe machine operation. Report machines needing additional maintenance to manager.
  5. Observe conduct of guests and customers in the facility to ensure orderliness, removing disruptive customers when needed.
  6. Assist guests in redeeming winning tickets for prizes.
  7. Complete daily inventory of prizes and tickets.
  8. Troubleshoot coin machine issues as necessary; remove coin accepter mechanism, insert coins, and observe machine operation.
  9. Place out-of-order signs on defective machines and return money lost in defective machines to customer.
  10. Clean and maintain the redemption counter and machines; ensure prize inventory is kept neat, attractively displayed and sufficiently stocked. Communicate inventory shortages to manager.
  11. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Education (some HS education required)
  • Previous customer service experience, preferred
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong organization and multitasking skills
  • Professional appearance
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

RESORT HOUSEKEEPING SUPERVISOR

OVERVIEW

The Resort Housekeeping Supervisor oversee and manage the daily operations and performance of the Resort Housekeepers, Park Cleaners and Laundry team. They ensure rental units, bath houses, offices and meeting areas are clean and properly maintained. Reporting to the Resort Housekeeping Manager

JOB DUTIES

  1. Coordinate team member selection, scheduling and development and ensure all team members comply with appropriate policies and procedures.
  2. Establish and educate staff on cleanliness, tidiness and hygiene standards
  3. Motivate team members and resolve any issues that occur on the job
  4. Monitor Inventory as to stay with sufficient stock
  5. Participate in large cleaning projects as required
  6. Inspect Rentals before arrivals
  7. Complete walk throughs in the park for Quality Assurance
  8. Assist with inputting Work orders for Maintenance repairs into computer system
  9. Respond to guests’ inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  10. Inspect and approve team’s work performance.
  11. Report inventory for cleaning materials as needed; maintain and ensure to stay within budget guidelines.
  12. Obtain pricing and report to Resort Housekeeping Manager to ensure supply for rentals is adequately stocked.
  13. Performs hands on training with new hires
  14. Arrange staff for replacements in case of absences
  15. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2-year prior housekeeping/cleaning experience, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Knowledge in Quality Assurance
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Knowledge of general janitorial work
  • Knowledge of safety measures when using various cleaning chemicals

OVERVIEW
Resort Park Cleaners are responsible for regularly cleaning resort facilities and buildings to ensure the resort remains presentable and sanitary at all times. Reporting to the Resort Housekeeping Manager.

JOB DUTIES

  1. Clean and sanitize bath houses. Ensuring we are following COVID protocol.
  2. Replenish consumables, reporting low stock to management.
  3. Clean all public bathrooms throughout the park
  4. Ensure all offices are clean and sanitized, providing high cleanliness standards
  5. Empty and clean trash containers, dispose of trash in a sanitary manner
  6. Ensure building surroundings are clear of garbage and debris
  7. Perform weekly deep cleaning as assigned
  8. Perform a variety of cleaning tasks such as high ceiling dusting, wall washing and window washing
  9. Follow all established safety procedures and precautions. Report all unsafe or hazardous conditions, incidents, accidents, and/or defective equipment to manager.
  10. Ensure general resort appearance is well maintained and orderly.
  11. Ensure all floors are swept, mopped, waxed, and buffed as needed.

OVERVIEW
Gate Attendants greet all visitors, vendors, contractors, residents, and prospective buyers and directs them to their destinations. They obtain pertinent information from each non-resident/guest entering the resort, handing out promotional materials to prospective guests and residents.

JOB DUTIES

  • Obtain name, license plate number, phone number, and email address of each non-resident/guest entering the resort.
  • Greet and register late arriving RVs, if applicable; escort late arriving RVs to the appropriate site.
  • Note all unusual occurrences on the daily log sheets.
  • Hand-out promotional material to prospective guests and residents.
  • Answer the telephone courteously and record pre-call visitor information appropriately. Prepare pre-call sheets for the following day.
  • Submit maintenance requests for issues such as electrical, sewer and water break problems as needed.
  • On a nightly basis, check all buildings, turn-off lights, and lock doors and gates as directed. Monitor the resort, noting any deficiencies (i.e. broken lights, missing signs, etc.). Check homes on the house checklist for unusual situations requiring attention.

  • Perform general administrative duties such as answering phones, typing, copying, faxing, and filing.

Security Guard

Overview

The Security Guard provides excellent customer service, while working to ensure all hazards and safety threats are addressed timely and comprehensively. This individual is responsible for patrolling the resort to enforce policies and ensure all incidents are documented.

Duties

  • Enforces the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of the resort.
  • Patrols the resort by foot and/or vehicle to observe and report suspicious activity.
  • Responds to emergencies, taking the appropriate action and documenting all incidents.
  • Physically checks all property points to ensure doors, gates, and restricted areas are secure and monitored at all times, including CCTV monitoring.
  • Follows all safety procedures while performing duties.
  • Writes detailed narrative reports and maintains daily activity reports.
  • Delivers special packages and/or one-day mail to appropriate sites.
  • Routinely checks resort amenities (i.e. swimming pools) for unregistered guests.
  • Tags vehicles for removal by owner at unrented transient sites.
  • Assists with coverage at the main gate.
  • Utilizes two-way radio and computer applications.
  • Works in large crowds in various weather conditions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Education (some HS education required)
  • Associates Degree in Police Foundations (Preferred)
  • Ability to remain focused during high stress situations
  • Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet
  • Working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act of Ontario and basic knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada
