The Housekeeper performs a variety of heavy and light housekeeping and cleaning activities to ensure the high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the residence is always maintained.
This permanent part-time position works will have a set day 8am to 4pm shifts with additional floating shifts to provide coverage. It will also be required to work weekend and holiday a rotational basis. This position initially receives $16.46 per hour.

What you’ll be doing:
• Daily performs general housekeeping such as; dusting, cleaning of bathrooms, changing sheets in resident suites and additional housekeeping tasks such as; vacuuming, carpet shampooing, sweeping, dry/wet mopping, cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms in common areas as per the established schedule.
• Performs emergency housekeeping as needed.
• Ensures privacy and respect to the resident during performance and duties.
• Adheres to established department policies and procedures regarding quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control.
What you need to have:
Must be able to stand and walk for majority of shift along with periods of bending, reaching, and squatting.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb a ladder, regularly lift, pull, and push objects.
Must have excellent oral communication and an ease with people.
The ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion.
Previous experience working with seniors is an asset.
Ability to work independently but, a willingness to step in and help out others when needed.
An on-going presence of a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a commitment to quality customer satisfaction is a must.
