Part-Time HR Administrator (1 Position)
Job Description
Duties
- Plan and manage policies, programs and procedures
- Manage HR risk to the company
- Oversee the recruitment process
- Oversee training and orientation of all new employees
- Administration of benefits.
- Actively participating in health and safety initiatives, taking a lead role in safety optimization.
- Manage and submit WSIB claims
- Keeping track of records, reports, and other documentation, ensuring all files are kept up to date and confidential.
- Write job descriptions, occupational classifications
- Manage staff vacation tracker
- Manage employee paid-time off tracker
- Manage employee sick-time tracker
- Manage employee personnel files and tracker
- Manage employee required certification tracker
- Clear & concise communication skills that show the ability to work with a wide variety of personality types and differing levels of authority.
- Professionalism and previous work experience with handling private, confidential information
- First point of contact for employee relations and employee questions
Experience:
- One to two years of work experience that shows growth in their job
- Understanding of the Employment Standards Act and other employment laws and regulations
- Experience working with confidential information
- Highly adept in using Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented and thrives in an environment that includes repetitive tasks will be required
- Ability to handle confidential material and situations with tact and discretion
- Works well under pressure.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
