Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time (2 positions available)
Position Summary: Community Living St. Catharines is currently looking for two knowledgeable, experienced, and motivated individuals to join our Human Resources Department as Generalists. In this role, you will be involved in various aspects of Human Resources, including recruitment, selection, onboarding process, training and development, attendance management, health and safety, and other HR-related responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Human Resource Management Diploma Program
- 1-2 years of experience working within an HR Department
- Knowledge of theories, principles, methods, work practices, requirements for – Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training, and Skills Development – Occupational Health & Safety Act, Employment Standards Act, WSIB Act, other related legislation
- Experience working in a unionized work environment is an asset
- Knowledge/experience in coordinating the full recruitment cycle
- Knowledge/experience in coordinating and case management for an Attendance Management program and developing accommodation plans for both occupational and non-occupational Return to Work (RTW) programs
- Knowledge/experience in researching, coordinating, developing, designing and facilitating all agency training requirements, and record management in the HRIS system
- Exceptional organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Experience in oral presentations, developing and conducting onboarding program to new hires
- Experience using a learning management system (experience with Surge Learning an asset)
- Proven ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office, Zoom, use of databases, and/or other related software programs
- Valid driver’s license and minimum of $1 million liability insurance (use of own vehicle is required)
- Successful completion of a Vulnerable Police Check
- Completion of the Ministry of Labour Worker Health and Safety Awareness Certificate
