POSITION OVERVIEW
The Flex Worker position is an entry level, part-time, position with the ability to turn into a full-time role. Flex Workers are responsible for general sanitation, ingredient dumping, and end of line production tasks. This position relies heavily on following standard operating procedures for repetitive tasks. This position is a critical member of the food safety function and helps maintain strict General Manufacturing Practices requirements. This position is required to support, implement, and maintain food safety practices as required through Safe Quality Food. Will be responsible for completing job duties in a manner that supports all plant safety, food safety, quality, and environmental practices.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs general sanitation within general facilities and GMP support areas.
- Supports end of line production by tote packing, ingredient dumping, case or tote folding, non-compliance inspection and rework, sampling, waste handling, loading shells and cases into packaging equipment.
- Supports production processes that have not been automated.
- Completes required training for all job responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
- Food manufacturing or related experience preferred but not necessary
- Good work history and attendance
Skills:
- Basic level math and computer skills
- Ability to work within a team environment and build positive professional relationships
- Ability to effectively communication in both written and verbal form in English
- Takes responsibility for ensuring work is completed safely and within quality parameters
- Ability to solve basic problems where standardizations/alternatives exist
Physical requirements:
- Ability to use basic hand tools
- Standing, kneeling, climbing and walking for extended periods of the day; capable of repetitive gripping, pinching, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling with weight ranges up to 50 pounds; ability to perform repeated twisting, bending and reaching of upper and lower extremities; exposure to hot and/or humid environments

POSITION OVERVIEW
This position provides mechanical and basic electrical services required for the maintenance, repair and upkeep of production and facility machinery and equipment, as well as fabricating, modifying and/or installing machinery and equipment as required. Millwrights support implement, and maintain food safety and quality practices as required through SQF and our Construction and Repair process, and are responsible for completing job duties in a manner that supports all plant safety and environmental practices.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Troubleshoots machines or equipment, replaces defective parts, and adjusts equipment as necessary
- Reads and interprets blueprints, program listings, schematics and mechanical and wiring diagrams
- Proactive in detecting and correcting machine performance problems
- Accurately complete all assigned work orders in a timely manner and document all relevant information describing the completion of the work order on computerized maintenance program.
- Provide all information necessary to maintain proper parts inventories.
- Work with production operators to identify process improvements wherever possible.
- Perform all work in a safe manner following all Company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with other duties and responsibilities as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Industrial Millwright Mechanic 433a certification
Experience:
- Food manufacturing or related experience preferred but not necessary
- Good work history and attendance
- 5+ years mechanical/electrical troubleshooting experience is considered an asset
- Preventive Maintenance (PM) background including experience developing Preventive Maintenance plans is desirable
Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication in English
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently when directed, and within a team environment and build positive professional relationships
- Takes responsibility for ensuring work is completed safely and within quality parameters
- Ability to recognize problem situations and take appropriate steps to resolve
Physical requirements:
- Standing, kneeling, climbing and walking for extended periods of the day
- Manual dexterity for delicate work. Frequent stoop, squat, twist, reach, climb stairs while performing job duties.
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 45 pounds.
- Work in all plant areas and outside the plant which can include heights up to 30 ft, working on ladders, confined spaces and catwalks. Exposure to extreme heat and cold, humidity, fumes, gases, odors and dust. Exposure to high noise levels. Work around moving machinery that is electrically and mechanically hazardous. Also work with highly combustible or potentially explosive equipment.
