You’re mechanically inclined and know your way around equipment, machines, or automotive repairs. You have a very strong Electrical background (comfortable with all voltages), strong knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic principles. You love working with tools, and are genuinely interested in building your career as an industrial mechanic. We are currently looking for a new Industrial Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the diagnosis and repair of electric winches, air powered winches, welders and other related equipment and machines.

Working alongside a team of experienced industrial mechanics, your tasks will include:

  • Inspection, diagnosis, reporting required repairs
  • Repair, reassembly, and testing of equipment performed on our in house test beds
  • Electrical diagnosis and basic wiring
  • Testing of our small fleet of welders
  • Occasional frame and mounting fabrication will be required
  • Basic maintenance of our shop to maintain cleanliness and safety
  • Occasional use of company vehicle to pick up or deliver parts or equipment
  • Position on the JHSC available

Qualifications

  • Mechanical/Electrical background with previous experience with equipment/machine repair
  • Mechanically inclined with basic machine shop skills and experience working with hand tools
  • Pneumatic and Hydraulic proficiency
  • Experience working with measuring instruments (e.g. micrometers, Vernier calipers, etc.)
  • Experience using Oxy/Acet equipment combined with basic arc welding knowledge and experience • Valid G driver’s license
  • Any other relevant certifications would be a plus, but are not required (e.g. tow motor, WHIMIS, safe hoisting, etc.)
