Job Purpose | Overview
The Inventory Control Clerk under the direction of the Inventory Coordinator will be primarily responsible for assisting in the monitoring of inventory levels and advise supervisors on the appropriateness of material, equipment, merchandise or supplies. This position will assist in conducting physical inventory counts and compare the results to inventory records for verification, ensuring proper investigation and documentation of any inventory discrepancies.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels in our ERP system
- Receiving, unpacking and arranging shelves
- Assembling of product kits (hardware/extrusion kits)
- Pick products per job order and per shipping schedule
- Prepare product and packaging for shipping (wrap, crate, bag)
- Perform routine admin duties in support of walls department
- Adjust inventory to ensure stock accuracy
- Assist with receipt entry in our ERP & issue packing slips to purchasers
- Maintain cleanliness and product organization in the areas of responsibilities
- Assist in other areas as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working in an inventory or production role an asset
- Knowledge of supplies, equipment and/or services & inventory control
- Ability to analyze & problem solve
- Clerical, word processing and/or office skills
- Ability to multitask
- Fork Lift license is an advantage
Physical Requirements
- Considerable physical activity, may require handling objects up to 50 lbs.
- Pushing, pulling, bending, walking, standing
- Work is performed in factory setting indoors, occasionally outdoors for short periods of time
- Temperatures can range from cold to hot indoors (plant environment)
- Climbing ladders when required
