WinstonBrock Recruitment is currently seeking a Kitchen Manager for a casual style dining restaurant franchise located in Niagara-Falls, Ontario.
The Kitchen Manager will oversee the day-to-day kitchen operation of a high-volume casual dining restaurant franchise. The franchise location is part of a larger culinary operation that includes two restaurants, a banquet/conference center, and a hotel. With expansion currently underway, this is an excellent opportunity to be part of a large tourist destination in Niagara-Falls as it continues to expand its on-site offerings.
Start: Asap
Wage: $48 – $60 K + tip pool + health benefits
Shifts: Days, Evenings, Weekends, Holidays
Duration: Full-Time/ Permanent
Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead back of house staff / kitchen staff
- Oversee that all opening and closing duties are completed
- Oversee inventory levels to optimize inventory while minimizing waste
- Perform quality control and performance checks on all kitchen staff and products
- Uphold and maintain all Company and Franchise standards
- Enforce and monitor all health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Handle guest complaints according to Company guidelines
- Work closely with fellow Managers to provide a seamless experience
- Support the development and growth of a profitable restaurant business
- Support the operation of the total business in any capacity required
Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of kitchen experience; management experience preferred
- Minimum High School diploma or GED, College diploma a definite asset
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong core knowledge of restaurant financial information and performance indicators
- Detail oriented with strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work varying shifts including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
