Part-Time Line Cook (1 Position)
Job Description
As a cook at IHOP you would be working on a variety of stations in a high-volume kitchen environment. Tasks such as prepping, cooking, plating items in an efficient and safe manner. This position features a $16.00 wage plus tip pool and day shifts!
As the successful candidate your main responsibilities will be:
- Preparing, portioning of food items prior to cooking such as sauces, and grilled items.
- Cooking of food items in various food stations, including appetizer, sauté, plates, and grill.
- Preparing of food items including sauces, salads, garnishes, appetizers, proteins and starches.
- Plating and garnishing cooked items.
- Maintaining a sanitary kitchen workstation.
- Ability to prepare food for consumption with background knowledge of proper techniques and equipment to be used.
- Completing assigned opening/closing duties.
- Having a thorough knowledge of all menu items.
- Preparing and cooking menu items.
- Maintaining cleanliness and safety of all food procedures of the kitchen and reporting any discrepancies.
- Practicing kitchen safety in the area and while using all equipment.
- Understanding and following established procedures and standards for cooking with deep fryers, ovens, sauté stations and grills
- All other duties assigned by management.
The qualifications for this position are as follows:

- Ability to exercise sound judgment and possess good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.

- Ability to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
