Job Description
LINE COOK
DUTIES
- Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards.
- Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations
- Establish portion sizes and prepare standard recipe cards for all new menu items
- Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant’s preventative maintenance programs
- Ability to control grilled work environment without supervision
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to use common kitchen tools, including ranges, graters, and cutlery
- Experience in kitchen setting with grill/prep/fryer placements
- Knowledge of the standards and regulations for food preparation
- Excellent customer service skills
- Understanding of quality control, for the effective creation and distribution of food products
- Knowledge of food-related training techniques and curriculum
- Understanding of different culinary techniques and profiles and a desire to learn new techniques
- Ability to work neatly, efficiently, and safely
- Ability to follow instructions without variations
