Job Description

Field Service Technician

Criveller Group is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. The preferred candidate must have a superior electrical and mechanical repair and troubleshooting background. This position requires travel to client locations that can be local, nationwide and, rarely, international. Preference will be given to candidates who exhibit knowledge of wine and brew-making.

Reporting to the Owner/ President, the selected individual will be a part of our Company’s Service team. They will be responsible for the installation, service, repair and maintenance of equipment sold by Criveller. The successful candidate will also be responsible for:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, identify and solve operational issues of equipment via Phone/ Virtual support and/ or on client premises.
  • Complete company service reports for all inquiries and projects in a timely manner.
  • Submit expense reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Communicate daily with Operations Manager and Technical Department regarding upcoming projects.
  • Build knowledge, both individually and company driven, with all company equipment and technology.
  • Work closely with Spare Parts Department to ensure stock levels are achieved to complete work orders.
  • Maintain adherence to quality and food safety program standards to ensure food safety, quality and legal requirements are being met.
  • Follow all health and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment on company and client properties.
  • Perform all other related duties as required
  • Note: Majority of maintenance, installation and repairs are completed in-house or locally throughout the Niagara Region.

Qualifications:

  • Education as an Electronics Technologist, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of experience in Service Field
  • Proficiency in all fields; electrical, mechanical and pneumatics.
  • Experience in PLC programming an asset, not required.
  • Must physically be able to maneuver in and around equipment, work on ladders, elevated surfaces and lift up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and independently.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines for delivering quality solutions on time.
  • Must demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Communicate effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience in piping diagrams and blueprint reading is an asset, not required.
  • Brewery/ Winery experience considered an asset.
  • Valid Passport and Driver’s Licence required.
  • A police clearance will be required.

Wage: $25-$35 per hour

General Labourer

As one of the oldest suppliers of processing, bottling, and labeling equipment in North America, Criveller is recognized not only for high-quality equipment, but also for our technical expertise, design services and superior customer service. Our projects are found coast to coast and encompass the microbrewery and winery sector as well as apple cider production facilities, distilleries, pasta sauce production facilities, blending and metering systems for vodka production, tanks and packaging solutions to the bottled water industry and olive oil production.

Criveller Group is looking for energized and motivated General Labourers to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be able to perform general duties such as:

  • Assist machine operators and welders with projects and tasks
  • Operate machinery and equipment, as required
  • Handle Materials – within the shop and outdoors as required
  • Load/unload products from trucks or warehouse, heavy lifting required
  • Operate Basic Hand Tools and Powered Hand Tools. i.e. Drills, Disc Grinders
  • Maintain a safe working environment and follow safety standards
  • Assist with required routine maintenance to maintain equipment reliability
  • Perform general tasks as assigned by Supervisor
  • Maintain good housekeeping

Qualifications:

  • Available to work shift work; including some overtime if necessary
  • Must be punctual and possess a strong work ethic
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic reading and writing skills
  • Must be comfortable to work in confined spaces
  • Able to perform physically demanding work; lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to work indoors/outdoors; warehouse environment
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Valid passport is an asset; but not required
  • Must provide CSA certified work boots

Welder

The ideal candidate will be able to perform general duties such as:

  • TIG Weld with stainless steel for production
  • Read and understand blue prints
  • Measure, examine and test completed parts to check for defects and ensure standards are met
  • Maintain a safe working environment and follow safety standards
  • Assist with required routine maintenance to maintain equipment reliability
  • Perform general tasks as assigned by Supervisor
  • Maintain good housekeeping

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years TIG welding experience working with stainless steel fabrication
  • Must be able to read and follow blueprints
  • Must be punctual and possess a strong work ethic
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic reading and writing skills
  • Able to perform physically demanding work; lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to work indoors/outdoors; warehouse environment
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Valid passport is an asset; but not required
  • Must provide CSA certified work boots
  • Must pass a welding test prior to onboarding
