The Marketing and Social Media Manager role is full time, offering a highly competitive compensation package including fair wage, benefits, and positive company culture. We are looking for an experienced professional to analyze, develop and implement communication and promotion strategies and information programs; determine advertising needs and create appropriate advertising and marketing plans; and maintain media relations on behalf of our business.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assessing characteristics of products or services to be promoted and providing recommendations on advertising pathways
  • Developing and implementing advertising campaigns appropriate for print or electronic media
  • Gathering, researching and preparing communications material for internal and external audiences
  • Developing, implementing and evaluating communications strategies and programs designed to inform clients, employees and the general public of initiatives and products
  • Conducting public opinion and attitude surveys to identify the interests and concerns of key groups served by the business
  • Preparing or overseeing preparation of reports, presentations, web sites, social media posts (including video posts) and press releases
  • Initiating and maintaining contact with the media
  • Design and distribution of brochures, reports, newsletters, social media posts and other material
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience and Attributes:

  • Three years’ experience in related field
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Competency in Microsoft applications, Photoshop and other graphics editing software, video editing software, and other computer software programs including CRM software
  • Well versed in all social media platforms with demonstrated ability to develop creative content, engaging clients and partners
  • Graphic design experience
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience using computers for a variety of tasks
  • Knowledge file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of construction industry is a strong asset 

Education and Training:

  • A university degree or college diploma in business marketing, public relations or communications
