Job Description

We are hiring a Part Time Office Assistant! This position offers a flexible schedule with a combination of in-office and at-home hours. Wage will be negotiated based on skills, experience and performance.

The Office Assistant will be responsible for updating and maintaining financial records and transactions.
Specific tasks may include assisting owner with:

  • Calculating, preparing and issuing documents related to accounts such as bills, invoices, inventory reports, account statements and other financial statements
  • Coding, totaling, batching, entering, verifying and reconciling transactions such as accounts payable and receivable, payroll, purchase orders, cheques, invoices, cheque requisitions and bank statements
  • Compiling budget data and documents based on estimated revenues and expenses and previous budgets
  • Preparing period or cost statements / reports
  • Calculating costs of materials, overhead and other expenses based on estimates, quotations, and price lists
  • Performing related clerical duties, such as preparing quotes and contracts, maintaining filing and record systems, faxing and photocopying

What We’re Looking For

  • Solid foundation of utilizing Quickbooks – formal education and working experience
  • Computer skills with a focus on Excel
  • Understanding of accounting and tax processes/cycles
  • Reliable, responsible, detail oriented
  • Police Clearance Certificate
