Full-Time Paint Finisher for Millwork

No. of Positions available: 1 Full Time, Permanent Position

Salary: Very competitive rates depending on experience and skills $17-$23/hr

Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm (Lunch 12-12:30), some flexibility may be required during peak times
Location: Niagara Falls, ON (behind Falls Chevrolet – 5900 Thorold Stone Rd.)
Environment: Custom Millwork – not an assembly line. Our shop has individual workstations and a paint booth.

Eligible to apply:
Looking for an Experienced Painter/Finisher for Millwork and Cabinets.
Someone with little experience can apply if you are within the industry. We will provide the training.

We may be willing to train and are flexible with the training and/or experience required. Your salary will be adjusted
accordingly. If you studied Cabinet Making at the College but have little to no experience, you would be at the lower
end of the pay scale in the beginning, with pay raises as you gain more experience. If you are experienced and
already have a higher level of skill, you will start at a higher hourly rate.

Skills/Experience Required:
– Experience painting/staining cabinet materials such as MDF, Solid Maple/Oak, Veneer, etc.
– Sand, prime, stain and/or spray custom cabinetry and millwork for final assembly
– Knowledge of parts, part styles, finishes and colours is required
– Apply lacquers, sealants, glazers, etc. to obtain desired wood and MDF finishes
– Proficient in the use of cabinet paints and lacquers, some colour matching and mixing of stains involved
– Inspect parts during the finishing process to ensure quality and uniformity
– Smooth imperfections with filler/putty, touch up surfaces and make minor repairs
– Must be able to use HVLP Air Spray Guns and Pneumatic Airless Pumps
– Knowledge and use of M.L. Campbell products an asset
– Maintain an organized, clean and tidy workspace to ensure smooth process and production
– Must be self motivated to perform under pressure
– Work on multiple projects simultaneously and follow production schedule to ensure deadlines are met

Other requirements:
– Standing for extended periods during your shift is required due to the nature of the work.
– Ability to lift 50lbs is required.
– Keeping a fast work pace is necessary to match the volume of work and our price schedule.
– Attention to detail is required.
– Looking for a Team Player to respect Management and your Co-Workers and provide feedback.
– Must complete course certifications (provided by the employer at no cost to you) such as WHMIS.
– Must adhere to all Covid Safety Protocols and the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Ensure compliance to
all company safety and quality standards

We have free On-site Parking. We are also on the bus route.
