St. Charles Village is seeking a part-time dietary cook in Welland

Job Duties

  • Providing high quality, delicious meals to our residents
  • Preparing meals following the directions and recipes provided
  • Multi-tasking in order to have all food ready to serve in a timely manner
  • Maintaining a clean sanitary work area
  • Washing pots, pans, etc. that are used in the making of meals
  • Willing to lend a hand with servers
  • Lift up to 50 lbs

Requirements

  • Must have 2-3 years experience cooking in a Restaurant/Retirement environment
  • Willing to provide a Vulnerable Sector Police Check and a 2 Part TB Test
  • Able to produce delicious homemade meals for our residents including detail to presentation
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written
  • Able to follow directions for production sheets and recipes
  • Ability to organize work and work under strict time constraints
  • Must have a high stand of hygiene and cleanliness

Hours of Work

  • Monday – Sunday between 6:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. or 12:30 p.m. – 6:45 p.m.
  • Must be able to work days, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays
  • This is a permanent position

Wage

$18.48 per hour
