Full-Time Plumber, new residential homes
Job Description
Ducts Plus Inc. is a fast-paced and growing company. We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic, reliable, positive, organized, and professional person to join our team. Full-time hours are Monday to Friday starting at 7 am to 3 or 4 pm, 40 to 44 hours per week. We offer a generous health benefits plan after the 3-month probationary period. Salary is $28 to $35/hour, dependent on years of experience.
Job Description – responsible for all aspects of the plumbing installation (water distribution, drainage, and waste disposal) from sewer pipes to installing all plumbing fixtures in new home builds within the Niagara Region.
General plumbing duties include the following:
- Rough-in of drains, vents, and waterlines
- Installation of sinks, toilets, bathtubs, showers including all fixtures at new construction homes
- adhere to current rules and regulations
- read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout
- must be physically able to perform heavy lifting
- professionally adhering to service calls, troubleshooting, and repairs
Your responsibilities are
- to have a thorough understanding of plumbing code and standards
- to work efficiently and effectively completing the installation and commissioning of plumbing elements
- to have the knowledge and use safe operation of all machinery and tools
- to wear personal protective equipment depending on the job
- to be punctual and reliable
- to work independently and to work with the team
- to have basic math skills, good work ethic, and to deliver high client/customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Plumber trade certification is required plus plumbing experience
- Valid G Driver’s License
- Excellent communication skills
- WHIMIS training an asset
- Working at Heights training an asset
- must supply your own work boots.
