Full-Time Recruitment Specialist

Job Description

The Recruitment Specialist is responsible for providing recruitment support to all departments within Great Wolf Lodge, Niagara Falls. This position will support the Recruitment and Training Manager in the complete on-boarding cycle. Maintains a high level of professionalism which includes the highest level of confidentiality and empathy when supporting our internal and external clients.

PRIMARY DUTIES

Provide positive and dynamic 5 STAR PAW service for our Pack and guests with a systems based approach

Team

  • Willing to accept the most effective role.
  • Supports departments with recruitment of front line roles and provide point of contact for hiring managers.
  • Sources candidates for front line roles using a variety of sources and ensure candidate funnel is always adequate.
  • Reviews, screens and tracks resumes.
  • Contacts applicants to schedule interviews; prescreens and interviews candidates.
  • Coordinates job ads for a variety of media, following established guidelines.
  • Continues to use or enhance the design of selection tools including behavioral and situational interview questions for front line roles.
  • Work with the Human Resources team to prepare and present offer letters using approved templates.
  • Work with Human Resources team to conduct background and reference checks as required.
  • Follow all organizational procedures and policies, especially those related to recruitment & training processes.
  • Coordinate and provide ongoing recruitment and selection training for Pack where required.
  • Compile recruitment data, identify emerging recruitment trends and prepare reports as required.
  • Coordinate with manager(s) and the Human Resources team to prepare for new Pack member onboarding, participate in orientation where required.
  • Ensure all written documentation within recruitment & training is updated regularly.
  • Present training for and complete on-boarding process.
  • Responsible for the promotion of a safe workplace which is achieved by understanding the obligations listed in the Occupational Health & Safety Act.

Guest

  • Continually provide 5 star service and exceed guest expectations through reliable and efficient guest service internally and externally.
  • Ensures guests are greeted and acknowledged consistently; adhering to the 10/5 Rule. Communicates with guests in a professional and friendly manner

Financial

  • Meets operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and review; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems.
  • Evaluate, create and implement efficiencies for improved operational and service standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of recruiting experience in a high volume environment, recruitment experience is mandatory.
  • Possess Human Resources Degree or Diploma, or working towards completion.
  • CHRP Designation an asset.
  • Working knowledge of applicant tracking and HRIS systems.
  • Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (MS Word, Excel, Access and Power Point).
  • Superior organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills. Possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
  • Must be a self-starter/self-motivated with good work ethic.
  • Must be available to work outside normal office hours to facilitate training.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 10 lbs., sit and/or stand for long periods.
