Registered Early Childhood Educator
Location: Parnall Public School – St. Catharines
Pay: RECE starting rate – $22.03/hr (includes WEG), with YMCA Health/Dental Benefits, paid sick days and generous vacation plan, YMCA Pension Plan, YMCA Membership benefits and ECCDC Membership
Employment Type: Full Time – 37. 5 hours a week (availability between 7am-6pm required). Evenings/weekends may be required for trainings and meetings.

NATURE AND SCOPE
The role of the RECE is to help carry out the day-to-day operations of the Child Care centre, helping to implement programs for children in care within the requirements of the current curriculum.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the care and safety of the children
- Organize and ensure meal distribution is done in a safe and timely manner
- Maintenance of the kitchen space, including clean-up and dishes
- Maintain a positive and professional relationship with all parents, children, and fellow team members
- Participate in training and adhere to the YMCA Child Protection Policies and Procedures as established by the YMCA of Niagara
- Organize and implement activities for the group as outlined in the YMCA Playing To Learn curriculum
- Maintain a positive and professional relationship with all parents, children and fellow staff
- Participate in training sessions when required including Food Handlers Certification
QUALIFICATIONS
- Registered Early Childhood Educator, or Proof of enrollment in an accredited ECE program
- Strong communication skills
- Must be 18 years or older
- Current standard first aid, and CPR – C certification
- A clear Criminal Reference Check – Vulnerable Sector Search issued for the YMCA of Niagara
- Food Handlers Certificate
