Restaurant Manager

We’re hiring a Restaurant Manager on behalf of a Collingwood-based resort and spa. The operation consists of two hotels, two restaurants, a full-service marina, and a golf course with further property expansion underway. In the role of Restaurant Manager, you will be working in a fine dining, seafood-based waterfront restaurant.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Position Overview

The Restaurant Manager reports to the VP of Operations and works alongside the Executive Chef. Your day-to-day will include leading all front-of-house restaurant operations, including staffing, financials management, providing superior quality food and service, and creating a fun and caring environment for team members.

Specific Accountabilities:

  • Lead a team of 25-30 staff members
  • Along with the Executive Chef, initiate creative food and wine offerings to wow guests
  • Go above and beyond to provide memorable experiences for guests
  • Be a hands-on leader with your staff, modeling a supportive and nurturing environment
  • Assist with budgeting and oversight of financials to promote revenue growth

Your Background Includes:

  • At minimum of two years of fine dining Restaurant Manager experience
  • Full-service restaurant management experience
  • Passion for upscale food and providing above-and-beyond service
  • Strong knowledge of wines and spirits
  • Creativity and passion for creating new opportunities for sales and promotions
  • Being a natural leader who builds trust with management, team members and guests
  • Available to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
