Part-Time Senior Grocery Associate
Job Description
Commisso’s Fresh Foods offer a wide variety of products that range from our in-house kitchen and bakery to imports from all over Europe. When choosing the right products to carry, we focus on fresh, organic, and specialty products that cannot be found within Niagara Region.
Our customers depend on us to provide excellent products and accurate knowledge when it comes to purchasing groceries for their families. In the role of Grocery Associate, you will be responsible for assisting the Manager in the achievement of store and departmental goals and ensuring a quality service approach to all employees, customers, and suppliers.
Commisso’s Fresh Foods has an immediate opening for a part-time Grocery Associate.
What you’ll do:
- Assist in the development of the grocery team by supporting the training, coaching, and recognition of employees;
- Floor support and supervision, including:
- Serve customers, merchandise and store displays, breaks, employee compliance with policy and procedure, and general department cleanliness;
- Support Management in completing inventory and orders, invoices, and scheduling;
- Greet customers and answer questions in a friendly manner;
- Provide excellent customer service, make product recommendations, and accommodate special requests;
- Comply with all Commisso’s policies and procedures and maintain customer confidentiality;
- Other duties as required.
What you will need to succeed:
- Minimum of 1-5 years of food retail experience;
- Product ordering and inventory management experience;
- Clear and effective communication style, both written and oral;
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills;
- Must be self motivated, efficient, and customer focused;
- Must be able to lift thirty (30) pounds;
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time; and
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
