Full-Time Short Order Cook (1 Position)
Job Description
Job Gym is currently assisting Pitchers Sports Bar and Restaurant to recruit candidates for a Short Order Cook position. This is a full time position, with 3 shifts falling between 10am and midnight. Majority of shifts will fall in the evening. Wage will start at $14.00 per hour, however compensation will be increased in line with performance and independence.
The person in this role will be responsible for preparing menu items in accordance with customer preferences and directions. Specific tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing and cooking food items such as pizza, chicken wings, fish and chips, other pub fare and some homemade items
- Arranging food in a presentable fashion on plates and serving ware
- Regular and frequent cleaning and sanitizing of kitchen area and supplies including dish washing and equipment cleaning
- Following and enforcing all safe food handling procedures
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred however employer will provide full training
- Current Food Safety Certificate
- This is a fast paced, hot kitchen; looking for candidates that thrive in this type of environment and can handle pressure as well as multi-tasking
