Skilled Assembly – Sand and Prep Technician – Airbus Helicopters Fort Erie

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting Sanding and Prepping Technicians for a dynamic manufacturing client in Fort Erie. This full-time role entails someone with great attention to detail and a desire to learn and grow with the company.

Responsibilities

  • Washing composite panels as directed
  • Detailed inspection of all panels, identifying defects and irregularities
  • Sanding and filling composite panels before priming
  • Removal of surface dust using compressed air
  • Quality Control and finishing of product
  • Priming and prep before painting

Skills for Success

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with painting and prep for painting (considered an asset)
  • Ability to use various tools such as sanders, sanding blocks, etc.
  • The ability to work alone or in a team setting
  • A self-starter attitude
  • Ability to use independent action and judgment in order to solve common problems

Schedule

  • Day Shift 8:00am-4:30pm & Opportunities to rotate to afternoon shift 12:00pm-8:00pm

Salary

  • Wage: $18.00/hour to start and $18.45/hour after 3 months
  • Afternoon Shift Premium – $18.75 to start and $19.20/hour after 3 months
