Sales Representative – HVAC
Job Gym is supporting Enertec – a well-established and growing Niagara-based company – to look for a Sales Representative for our HVAC Services division. This opportunity features a highly competitive compensation package with comprehensive insurance and benefits.
Role Responsibilities:
- Close and grow sales through professional communication with existing and potential clients, create and execute a sales and marketing plan to grow market share.
- Manage and interpret customer requirements – speaking with clients to understand, anticipate and meet their needs
- Communicate sales or service opportunities and customer concerns or suggestions to management.
- Provide exemplary service to customers by: Identifying and resolving client concerns; recommending a course of action to alleviate these concerns in the future; following up after work is complete to ensure needs have been met
- Expand market awareness of our products and our industry experience by communicating value proposition (features and benefits, SPIN method) of our products and services effectively
- Maintaining records of customer communications, contact information as required in SalesForce CRM as well as updating status of opportunities/pipeline
- Submit a variety of sales status reports as required, including opportunity stage, activity, closings, follow-ups, and adherence to goals/KPIs using customer relationship (CRM) software including quarterly customer visit plans; schedule client meetings and action plans for follow-up
- Preparing responses to RFP (request for proposals) and RFI (request for information), responding to requests by HVAC technicians for parts ordering, scheduling pick-up or delivery
- Discover new markets, technologies, partners, alliances by attending and participating in trade shows, conferences and other marketing events as needed
- Maintain awareness of pertinent client information, future plans, payment performance; communicate any client information that may affect company decisions to appropriate departments as needed
- Maintain knowledge of competitor service offerings, identify and report intelligence on competitor pricing or marketing strategies
- Proactively maintain and increase knowledge of supplier product offerings, technology, and industry
- Understand and comply with established guidelines that ensure a safe and healthy work environment
Requirements and Attributes of Our Ideal Candidate:
- Three to five years of proven sales or marketing experience
- Strong technical background with a focus on mechanical engineering and HVAC Equipment is preferred
- Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships, comfort with technical conversations, and strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Familiarity with the industry (HVAC/R, Greenhouses, Wineries, Breweries, etc…)
- Strong presentation and organizational skills with a professional appearance, and self-motivated and achievement driven
- Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques
- Ability to succeed in an entrepreneurial environment
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Ability to climb ladders and visit rooftops if required
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic work environment
- Work requires travel to current and potential clients, requires the possession of a valid driver’s license
- Working knowledge of industry design tools and price calculators
