Job Description
The Buffalo and Fort Erie Public Bridge Authority operates the Peace Bridge between Buffalo, New York, and Fort Erie, Ontario. It is a public benefit corporation governed by a bi-national Board of Directors. Our mission is to be known as the premier Canada-United States international border crossing, providing excellence in customer service and an effective conduit for trade and tourism.
We are currently recruiting for two Casual Traffic/Janitorial/Maintenance positions.
If you are a high school graduate (or equivalent), have a valid driver’s license issued by New York State or Ontario, and have the ability to participate in and maintain eligibility in the NEXUS Trusted Traveler program, we would like to hear from you.
This unionized position’s remuneration and benefit entitlements are in accordance with a collective agreement. The 2021 hourly rate of pay is $17.73, scheduled for up to thirty-two (32) hours per week. The schedule is subject to change and may require working weekends, nights, and holidays to support a 24/7 operation as determined by management.
This position requires work to be done in Canada and the United States and is conditional upon and maintenance of international border crossing identification and security clearance from U.S. and Canadian border agencies in addition to maintaining a valid Nexus card with the Nexus Trusted Traveler program.
