The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment within the Seaway Mall, ensuring that it is aesthetically pleasing and conducive to a positive experience for both employees and visitors. You will be part of a team who ensure that the Shopping Centre is maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary manner.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"81\" data-end=\"251\">Reporting to the Supervisor of the Maintenance Department, you will perform a variety of duties during your shift relating to the maintenance of the Shopping Centre\u2019s facility.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"81\" data-end=\"251\"><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong>:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"81\" data-end=\"251\">Perform routine custodial work such as cleaning, sweeping, mopping (dry and wet), dusting, and vacuuming areas of the Shopping Centre<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"81\" data-end=\"251\">Maintain outdoor grounds by sweeping walkways, sidewalks and other areas; maintain lawns by watering, weeding, pruning, and fertilizing<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"81\" data-end=\"251\">Perform cleaning and related activities such as removing snow or debris from walkways and placing salt on walkways and in parking lot to prevent customers\/tenants\/employees from slips and falls;<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"81\" data-end=\"251\">Perform minor painting<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"81\" data-end=\"251\">Setup and take down of mall displays and d\u00e9cor<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"81\" data-end=\"251\">Empty and reline waste bins, transporting the waste material to designated collection points<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"81\" data-end=\"251\">Cleaning and sanitizing of restrooms using established practices and procedures<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"81\" data-end=\"251\">Respond to emergency cleanup\/spills as requested<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"81\" data-end=\"251\">Assist with emergency situations and tenant issues as required (i.e. power outage, fire, flood situations etc.)<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"81\" data-end=\"251\">Replenish consumable items i.e. hand soap, toilet rolls, paper towels etc.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"81\" data-end=\"251\">Understand and follow safe procedures regarding the use of chemicals and supplies (for further information also see MSDS for proper handling, storing, first aid measures, etc.)<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"81\" data-end=\"251\">Compliance with procedures relating to infection control and effective cleaning methods<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"81\" data-end=\"251\">Reporting any hazards, damaged equipment or property to your Supervisor in a timely manner<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"81\" data-end=\"251\">Ensure cleaning materials and supplies are stored in a safe and orderly manner<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"81\" data-end=\"251\">Other duties as diploma<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"296\" data-end=\"337\">One year commercial cleaning experience<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"340\" data-end=\"417\">Ability to use commercial cleaning equipment (vacuums, floor buffers, etc.)<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"420\" data-end=\"470\">Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and supplies<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"473\" data-end=\"557\">Understanding of safety procedures
