The Standards and Contracts Branch develops and maintains the policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards that govern the design, construction, and rehabilitation of transportation structures, including bridges and large culverts.<\/p>\n<p>With an inventory of approximately 2,800 bridges and numerous other structures, the Branch ensures consistency, quality, and innovation in structural engineering.<strong>The Structures Office<\/strong>\u00a0consists of three specialized groups:<br \/>\n1. Bridge Design and Standards \u2013 Establishes design criteria and updates standards.<br \/>\n2. Bridge Management and Rehabilitation \u2013 Oversees asset management and structural rehabilitation strategies.<br \/>\n3.
