related field preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Course\/certificate Rent geared to Income (RGI) training is an asset.<\/li>\n<li>Certificate or Diploma from a recognized property management training course (e.g. Institute of Housing Management) is an asset.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least 1 year in customer service.<\/li>\n<li>2 years of experience in the Non-Profit housing and\/or property management sector.<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with seniors is an asset.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in working and reporting to a Board of Directors is an asset.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of relevant legislation \u2013 Housing Services Act, Ontario Human Rights Code, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, Residential Tenancies Act, Workplace Hazardous Material Information Systems, Occupational Health and Safety Regulation, the Ontario Fire Code and other relevant legislation.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of contract administration and performance measures.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of NewViews Accounting Software or other property management software is an asset.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Microsoft Office capability, including MS Word and Excel.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent organizational and phone skills.<\/li>\n<li>Data entry skills.<\/li>\n<li>Aptitude for Finances.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent social skills and an ability to effectively manage and build relationships with difficult clients.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and timelines.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a team environment with tight deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to effectively manage other staff.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of various legislation, the Residential Tenancies Act and Housing Services Act, and the Fire Code pertaining to Housing is preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Bilingual English and French is considered an asset.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Special Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Valid Class G driver\u2019s license and access to a vehicle<\/li>\n<li>Travel to Fort Erie, Crystal Beach, St. Catharines, and Niagara Falls is required.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to commute between properties and work locations during standard business hours (9:00 AM \u2013 5:00 PM).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide timely responses to inquiries from applicants and members.<\/li>\n<li>Follow HSA and policies.<\/li>\n<li>Collection of housing charges and managing Arrears.<\/li>\n<li>Handle day-to-day maintenance issues and ensure compliance with legislation and codes.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate schedules for contractors, ensuring superior quality of work and adherence to Occupational Health and Safety legislation.<\/li>\n<li>As a Purchase Agent, follow the spending bylaw of the client -Processing of Purchase Orders and Supplier\/Contractor management.<\/li>\n<li>Make credit union and\/or bank deposits.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare cheque requisitions \u2013 getting cheques signed.<\/li>\n<li>Control the petty cash system.<\/li>\n<li>Producing and circulating reports, minutes, agendas, and other documents when needed.<\/li>\n<li>Order office supplies.<\/li>\n<li>Handle deliveries and mail.<\/li>\n<li>Handle reception and telephone during open office hours.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain parking records in the office and on-call book.<\/li>\n<li>Send notices of late payments, arrears, NSF cheques, and reminders of payments due.<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining corporate and member files.<\/li>\n<li>Provide timely responses to inquiries from applicants and members.<\/li>\n<li>Photocopy applications, move-in kits, bylaws, and other information for applicants or new members.<\/li>\n<li>Follow co-op procedures in coordinating move-out and move-in.<\/li>\n<li>Process the move-out charges and details.<\/li>\n<li>Giving members notice of changes to housing charges.<\/li>\n<li>Participation and support of community growth initiatives that are designed to improve the morale of the residents and the overall safety of the community.<\/li>\n<li>Manage key day and move-in and move-out inspections and assign chargebacks as required.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare a 10-year capital plan and be part of the budget process with the accountant board and members ( if a co-op), and monitor monthly.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare reports and recommendations for the Board and attend meetings to provide operational updates and advice<\/li>\n<li>Handle vacancies.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with the service manager and client.<\/li>\n<li>Handle complaints according to the bylaws.<\/li>\n<li>Handle internal transfers as per the bylaw.<\/li>\n<li>Handle arrears collections as per the bylaw<\/li>\n<li>Handle eviction process with para legal if
