The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with disabilities. This role is vital in enhancing residents&#8217; quality of life through creative and supportive activities, fostering social interaction, and promoting overall well-being.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plan, organize, and facilitate life skills, and personal activities tailored to residents\u2019 interests and abilities<\/li>\n<li>Work with residents to identify and set goals to enhance quality of life, and promote independence<\/li>\n<li>Assist residents during activities, ensuring their safety and engagement at all times<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with care staff to coordinate activity schedules that complement residents\u2019 care plans<\/li>\n<li>Encourage participation from residents with diverse needs, including those with cognitive and\/or mobility challenges<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a safe and clean activity environment, adhering to all safety protocols<\/li>\n<li>Document residents\u2019 participation and responses to activities for ongoing care planning<\/li>\n<li>Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that promotes socialization and emotional well-being<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A degree or diploma in Human Services (Recreation, Social Worker, Education Assistant Program)<\/li>\n<li>Prior experience working with people with disabilities is highly desirable<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff<\/li>\n<li>French is an asset<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic setting<\/li>\n<li>Flexibility to adapt activities based on residents\u2019 changing needs and interests<\/li>\n<li>Valid First Aid, CPR Certificate and recent WHMIS training<\/li>\n<li>Valid Ontario drivers\u2019 license, clean driving record, access to an insured vehicle, and the candidate must be willing to drive the Tanguay Place Van<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Compensation<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>$20.73\/hr plus 12% in lieu of benefits or join the benefit group (option available)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Hours<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>24-40 hours per
