The position is accountable to the General Manager. This position requires opening and evening work and may require weekend work and split shifts to meet programming needs.<\/p>\n<p>After successfully completing the probationary period, employees participate in a company-matched retirement savings plan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Post-secondary diploma\/degree in physical education, Kinesiology, recreation and leisure, or a related field<\/li>\n<li>Two years\u2019 experience in leading Fitness programming<\/li>\n<li>Facility management is an asset<\/li>\n<li>Current Police Clearance with Vulnerable Sector Screen that is obtained within the last 6 months<\/li>\n<li>Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C<\/li>\n<li>HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development (can obtain after hire)<\/li>\n<li>Nationally accredited Group Fitness Certification.<\/li>\n<li>Personal Training\/Individual Strength and Conditioning Certification is an asset<\/li>\n<li>Experience delivering adult group fitness classes<\/li>\n<li>Valid driver\u2019s license and access to personal vehicle<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of applicable legislation<\/li>\n<li>Immunization record<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitor revenue and expenses weekly<\/li>\n<li>Schedule programs, services and special events<\/li>\n<li>Perform the duties of a Group Fitness Instructor<\/li>\n<li>Ensure schedules are consistent with annual project plans, including length of class, length of session and number of participants accommodated<\/li>\n<li>Employees are trained and supervised in practices in connection with health and wellness<\/li>\n<li>Facilities and equipment are clean and in good repair<\/li>\n<li>Service Providers are accessed, and accurate records are forwarded<\/li>\n<li>Fitness Centre opening and closing check lists are completed and documented<\/li>\n<li>Fire and Emergency Response duties are completed and documented<\/li>\n<li>Provide ongoing positive and constructive support to direct reports and ensure gaps in performance are addressed<\/li>\n<li>Attendance and participation data reports are
