Canada Games - Volunteer

Organization Description:

The Canada Games, held every two years, alternating between summer and winter, are the largest multi-sport event in the country and represent the pinnacle of interprovincial/territorial sport competition. The Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games encompasses 13 municipalities (12 plus 1 region) and will be held August 6-21, 2022. The Games will feature 18 sports, 5,000 participants, over 4,000 volunteers and various cultural events. In 2022, there will be opportunities for para-athletes and Special Olympic athletes to compete as well.

Volunteering at the Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games:

At the heart of every Games are thousands of dedicated volunteers who help to provide the best Canada Games experience for athletes, spectators and guests. There are various types of volunteer positions available during Games-time: from Sport Operations to Transportation, from Ticketing to Food Service, from Uniform Distribution to Merchandise Sales, just to name a few. Our Games-time volunteer registration portal will be open in the Fall of 2021. All volunteers will be required to register online.

Many volunteers will be required for various events leading up to the Games. Fundraising and alumni events, community and school events and the Torch Relay are the types of activities that will take place from now until Games-time. Pre-Games and Lead Volunteer positions will be posted regularly on our website as they become available.
