The Health and Safety Coordinator aids in the creation, management, and execution of occupational health and safety initiatives. In this interactive position, your duties will involve devising, organizing, coordinating, and overseeing health and safety operations to guarantee employee involvement, training, and adherence to regulations. This encompasses offering guidance and training on health and safety matters to uphold our compliance with regulations, laws, directives, standards and endeavors.

Responsibilities:
- Administers, develops, and sustains the Health & Safety Program
- Updates and develops health and safety policies and procedures under the guidance of the General Manager
- Plans, organizes, and conducts all health and safety training and onboarding activities
- Compiles all monthly Health & Safety related reports
- Serves as the Management Co-Chair on the joint Health & Safety Committees
Requirements:
- Completion of post-secondary education in Health and Safety and/or Human Resources
- Thorough understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations
- Proficiency in crafting impactful policies and procedures
- Proven ability in training
- Health and Safety Level I and II certification is an asset
- Travel between St Catharine’s and Port Robinson facilities
