Job Description

The Quality Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the highest standards of quality throughout the manufacturing processes.  Their primary focus will be on maintaining compliance with industry regulations, optimizing production efficiency, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Skill/Effort Requirements

•    Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with an ability to communicate effectively across all levels and/or departments.

•    Strong knowledge of quality management systems, tools, and methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning)

•    Knowledge of ISO-9001/IATF certification

•    Previous experience in the tier 1 automotive industry

•    Detail-oriented mindset, excellent organizational skills and the ability to adhere to deadlines.

•    Ability to develop and write work instructions and technical reports is considered an asset

•    Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) required

Responsibilities

•    Supervise the work of employees to ensure compliance with quality standards and adherence to standardized work instructions.

•    Ensure that all production, scrap, and SPC is reported accurately and first and last off inspections are completed

•    Assist in developing and implementing a continuous improvement system.

•    Conduct regular audits and inspections of manufacturing processes and products to identify areas for improvement.

•    Utilize statistical tools and methodologies to analyze data and trends, identify opportunities for process optimization for process optimization and reduce defects and waste.

•    Maintain accurate documentation and records of quality assurance activities, including inspection and non-conformance reports.

•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and drive root cause analysis.

•    Train and audit plant personnel

•    Perform, direct, and carry out other reasonable requests made by senior management.
