About the Job

Express Employment Professionals is looking for a determined Sales Representative for the St Catharines franchise territory. A Sales Representative will work within our territory to connect with and learn about local businesses and their hiring needs. They will present Express Employment Professionals’ product offerings. The main goal of the Sales Representative is to build relationships and help companies understand how Express can help them in the areas of employment, leadership, and human resources. This office is locally owned and operated with a solid reputation for service and quality within the staffing industry. Since 2014 the office has built a solid client base by making industrial, administrative, and professional placements.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate would have an outgoing, friendly, determined, and professional attitude. Prior experience selling to businesses through cold calling and appointment setting would be an asset.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to build and nurture client relationships.
  • Ability to engage people at all levels of an organization across a multitude of industries
  • Interest and knowledge of current events and economic conditions important to business leaders
  • Determination, assertiveness and a sense of urgency
  • Basic computer skills
  • Reliable transportation (KM’s reimbursed)
  • Experience in the staffing industry is NOT required. This position is responsible for calling on current and prospective clients. Sales activity will include both discovery cold calling and appointments set through marketing campaigns, online research, and persistent follow-up.

Job Responsibilities

  • Set appointments with clients and prospects
  • Make in person business-to-business discovery calls
  • Obtain new clients
  • Develop additional opportunities with existing clients
  • Represent Express Employment Professionals at appropriate community events
  • Devote 75% of time out of the office making in person contacts. You will have access to incredible online training, one-on-one training and ongoing mentorship.
