Full-Time Switchboard Operator (2 Positions)
Job Description
We are looking to hire 2 Switchboard Operators to work 24-40 hours per week.
Duties:
· Providing personalized and exceptional Guest service at every given opportunity.
· Ensures that incoming calls are transferred to the correct individual or department as requested by the caller.
· Prepares daily logbook and checks that messages are recorded and sent.
· Maintains Meeting Room phone lines in ready status.
· Prepares and processes requests for brochures or packages.
· Reporting responsibilities include maintaining up to date in house Guest lists, and emergency prepared lists.
· Assisting other departments with various office duties as required based on time availability. Up to and including database entry, comment card entry, Sales kit preparation, Gift preparation.
Professional Requirements:
· Grade 12 Education with 3 – 6 months experience in a similar environment.
· Basic computer and keyboarding skills including word perfect.
· Previous up-selling and/or sales experience is considered an asset.
Personal Attributes:
· Must be pleasant and cheerful.
· Must posses a professional and diplomatic demeanor on the telephone.
· Must be a Team Player.
· Good time management skills.
Physical Requirements:
· Extensive use of the keyboard.
· Restricted to desk for extended periods of time (up to 85% of shift).
· Stress in dealing with high volume of calls and Guest complaints.
Wage:
14.27-14.60
