Full-Time Production Welders (2-3 Positions)

Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a team of Production Welders to join the dynamic team at 2 separate Salit Steel locations in Niagara. These are permanent, full time vacancies open to applicants with solid Production Welding experience and good, strong attention to detail.

Duties Include:

  • Product preparation according to specific requirements (ie. appropriate quantity/length/gauge of rebar)
  • Use of measuring instruments (tape measure, straight edge, laser sight, jig)
  • MIG welding
  • Reloading and maintaining standards of tools and materials
  • Operating overhead crane (once certified)
  • Quality control/assurance of materials and machinery
  • Completing daily paperwork
  • Sorting and reworking defective material as required
  • Repacking and disposing of scrap

Qualified? You have:

  • Current, formal welding certificate *preferred
  • Previous MIG welding experience
  • Current Weld License *preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Reliable, dependable, strong work ethic

Wage: $19.12 – $20.30/hour to start (incremental wage increases based on hours worked)

Shifts: Days, Nights and Afternoons (1-week Rotations)
