Job Description
We are looking to hire a housekeeper in a private home. You will be responsible for cleaning rooms and common areas, disposing of trash, changing beds, and notifying the home owner of any issues. You should be able to lift 25 pounds and have an eye for cleanliness. Light cooking of small meals will be required as well for children and adults.
Housekeeper Responsibilities:
- Keep facilities and common areas clean and maintained.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
- Clean and stock restrooms.
- Clean up spills with appropriate equipment.
- Notify home owner of necessary repairs.
- Collect and dispose of trash.
- Assist guests when necessary.
- Keep linen room stocked.
- Properly clean upholstered furniture.
- Light cooking or preparing of meals time-to-time.
Housekeeper Requirements:
- Ability to manage your time efficiently.
- Work well unsupervised.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
- Handle basic maintenance and cleaning.
- High school diploma.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and interact positively with house guests.
- Hard worker.
- Be available days and some evenings or weekends.
- Knowledge of the Croatian food, lifestyle and history considered an asset.
- Ability to speak, read and understand the Croatian language an asset but not required.
Position can be part-time or full-time; we are very flexible and willing to work with the right candidate.
Hourly wage will be negotiated and based on qualifications and experience.
A police clearance and references will be a requirement.
