Are you an experienced Customer Service professional looking for a full-time opportunity with potential for advancement? We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team in Welland as a Customer Service and Office Admin. It is preferred for candidates to join our team in Welland, but we also offer the option to work from our Fort Erie or Grimsby locations.

Responsibilities: As a Customer Service and Office Admin, your duties will include:

  • Opening the office and ensuring a neat and organized workspace.
  • Greeting clients and making them feel welcomed.
  • Connecting clients with staff members in response to inquiries and requests.
  • Responding to client inquiries and complaints through timely and professional email and phone communication.
  • Facilitating and advocating on behalf of clients when dealing with adjusters, if necessary.
  • Collaborating with all employees to address client needs.
  • Maintaining stock levels of office supplies and ordering additional supplies as needed.
  • Preparing and distributing communication materials to staff, management, and clients.
  • Completing Auto Plus and Motor Vehicle Registry (MVR) tasks.
  • Updating and modifying client information as required.
  • Reviewing and recording scans, emails, and correspondences in appropriate client files.
  • Managing incoming mail and faxes, and preparing and processing outgoing mail, courier, and faxes.
  • Performing additional administrative duties such as faxing, shredding, filing, and contract processing.
  • Handling basic financial duties, including issuing invoices, receiving payments, submitting bank deposits, and posting payments.
  • Potentially transitioning to insurance brokerage training.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Post-secondary education.
  • Insurance brokerage experience is an asset but not required.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to create and modify written correspondence and documents.
  • Experience in desktop publishing.
  • Strong internet research skills for business purposes.
  • Data search and input abilities using company portals.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Commitment to upholding personal privacy, company policies, and client confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong mathematical skills for transacting charges and credits, calculating percentages, ratios, averages, and premium rates.
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in an office environment, with insurance-related experience preferred.

Location: Welland (preferred), Fort Erie, or Grimsby.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:15 pm.

Wage: $18.65/hour to $20.90/hour, based on experience.
