Seasonal Lead Camp Counsellor
Job Description
Responsible for supervision of camp counsellors and address any issues or concerns and report them to the camp supervisors.
Responsible for connecting with parents of campers and gathering of information regarding support needs.
Provide assistance to children with intellectual disabilities in all areas of camp.
Responsible for knowing, understanding and executing all policies and emergency procedures associated with camp.
Responsible for orienting all campers to camp rules and expectations.
Responsible for supporting one child or a small group of children as required and ensuring that all campers are always accounted for, safe and engaged.
Be willing and able to provide personal care as needed.
Work effectively within a team environment.
Lead Camp Counsellor will begin 2 weeks prior to training to prepare for camp.
Training will occur 2 weeks prior to start of camp.
