A food preservatives company is looking for a hard-working technician to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your Tasks

• Perform regular analysis on finished and in-process parameters to ensure product quality
• Collect and analyze raw materials
• Maintain laboratory raw materials including chemical reagents
• Maintain laboratory equipment consistent with ISO standards and procedures
• Document and maintain records related to laboratory activities
• Assist Spores Technicians with production and harvesting as required
• Ensure all health, safety and security procedures are observed an all times
• Complete other tasks as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

• Through a combination of a OSSG with post-secondary education in a science discipline. Degree in Chemistry preferred.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar environment.
• Exposure to modern analytical tools including HPLC and spectrophotomers.
• Knowledge of ISO, SPC control charting and HACCP are considered an asset.
• Looking for someone with a degree in sciences, biology or chemistry.

Experience is a must and should be familiar testing for AA – HPLC – PH moisture.

• Shifts: Monday to Friday, 7-3:30pm 8-hour daytime shifts.

Contract Length: 2 Weeks plus.
