End of April/Early May to Middle of June (Multiple)
Jeffery’s Greenhouses Inc., a grower and wholesale distributor of bedding plants, is now hiring for our 1036 Lakeshore Rd W., St. Catharines ON location. With the above stated time frames, we are actively looking for temporary, full time general labourers to assist with the spring season.
Hours: Monday through Saturday from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. Must be willing to work past 5:00 pm on some days in order to fulfill customer orders. Must be able to work a couple of possible Sundays in May.
Duties: Loading flats, hanging baskets and containers of plants onto rolling shipping carts from our greenhouse benches and floors; Laying out product on our greenhouse benches/floors; Spacing and hanging of potted plants and hanging baskets; Transplanting rooted plants into containers and sticking cuttings into growing media.
Experience/Skills Required: Must be physically fit as job involves considerable walking, standing, bending and lifting throughout the day. Previous experience in a greenhouse environment is not required, but is an asset.
Wage Rate: $11.40/ hour
