Wage: $17.60 per hour

Hours of Work: 7.5 per week, 1 day per week to begin (Every Sunday and possibly select Saturdays)

Requirements:

• Must be able to provide a clean vulnerable sector check & 2 stage TB test or chest x-ray.

Duties:

The incumbent is responsible for safely operating dishwashing equipment, related tasks and general cleaning duties, in accordance with Company and legislative/regulatory standards, policies and procedures.

• Safely and effectively operate commercial dishwasher equipment, including scraping, stacking and putting away dishes, glass wear and cutlery.
• Perform routine cleaning of kitchen equipment, fixtures and appliances.
• Remove garbage and breakdown cardboard boxes for recycling.
• Clean floors and walls, cabinets and food preparation areas to ensure a sanitary environment which passes all health and safety regulations and inspections.
• Assist with unpacking and storing of incoming groceries.
• Adhere to all appropriate workplace regulations, compliances, and legislation regarding health and safety, food preparation standards, and Company policies and procedures.
• Be continually aware of, and maintain, the highest standards of professionalism by following the Company dress code and/or wearing the Company uniform.
• Attends staff meetings and mandatory training, as required. * Other duties as assigned.

Performance Requirements:

• Continuously follow the principles of “good customer service” and ensure that these values are demonstrated in day to day practices.
• Demonstrate the ability to interact effectively with team members and external suppliers.
• Demonstrate solid organizational and time management skills.

Working Conditions:

• Regularly lift, and push/pull equipment, up to 50 pounds.
• Daily exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures.
• Bend, kneel, and work with arms raised for at least 3 hours per day.
• Walk and stand on a variety of surfaces for at least 3 hours per day. * Use of kitchen cleaning chemicals typically used in the industry.
