BUILDING ADMINISTRATOR (PART-TIME)

Beachcombers Seniors Centre is a 550+ member organization run by and for seniors to encourage community involvement and a dynamic/healthy environment.

We are currently seeking an Administrator for a part-time contract position. This position will be approximately 35 hours/month. Experience working with non-profit/charitable organizations would be a definite asset.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Oversee opening and closing of club, in person or through designates

On call for alarm company 24/7

Liase with co-ordinators/instructors and event primes for scheduling and set-up purposes

Prepare monthly activity calendar and newsletter (can be completed by volunteer from provided information)

Supervise Building Assistant

Handles purchasing of supplies within set parameters

Oversees storage and tracking of all supplies and material donations

Maintains inventory list of all property/leases contracts and replacement costs.

Ensure all necessary insurances are in effect.

Ensures building premises and equipment are clean and in good working order.   Seeks quotes for major repair/replacement items

Ensures all access ways to building are free and clear of impediments at all times. Takes necessary remedial actions.

A vulnerable sector police check will be required.  First aid/CPR training would be an asset.
