Looking for a Live-in Caregiver (Home Support Worker) to care for an elderly person in the area of Portage Road and Valley Way in Niagara Falls, Ontario.

Wage: $22.00 per hour

Terms: 32.5  hours per week, permanent, full-time

Employment Conditions: Full-time, morning, day, some weekends (as needed)

Start Date: As soon as possible

Job Requirements:

  • Languages: English
  • Education: Secondary (high) School graduation certificate
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
  • On Site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely
  • Work Site Environment: Non-Smoking
  • Security and safety: Criminal record check required
  • Work Setting: room and board provided, work in employer’s/client’s home

Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Administer bedside and personal care
  • Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
  • Launder clothing and household linens
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Provide companionship
  • Provide personal care
  • Shop for food and household supplies
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals
  • Assist with positioning in bed, wheelchair and chair lift
  • Move patient in wheelchair

Experience & Specialization (Target Audience):

  • Persons with Alzheimer’s disease
  • Elderly
  • Persons with physical disabilities
  • Equipment and machinery experience: lifting device (chair lift)
