Job Description

The Buffalo and Fort Erie Public Bridge Authority operates the Peace Bridge, a public benefit corporation governed by a bi-national Board of Directors and chartered by New York State, with consent of the United States Congress, and the Federal Government of Canada. Our mission is to be known as the premier Canada-United States international border crossing, providing excellence in customer service and an effective conduit for trade and tourism. We are the second largest border crossing between the United States and Canada with approximately six million vehicles crossing the border on an annual basis.

We are currently recruiting for the following Canadian Summer Seasonal Positions (flexible start dates available beginning April 15 – October 15):

  • Traffic/Janitorial (directing traffic, light janitorial duties) – up to 40 hours per week. Please quote job # 2024-05
  • Maintenance (light maintenance duties- i.e. maintaining property grounds, cutting grass) 40 hours per week. Please quote job # 2024-06

If you have a minimum education of a high school diploma and/or equivalent with a minimum of one (1) year experience working with the public, performing janitorial and/or general maintenance duties we would like to hear from you.

This position is conditional upon and maintenance of a valid driver’s license, international border crossing security clearance through border agencies. You must possess either a passport or a Nexus trusted traveler card (the ability to acquire a Nexus card if not currently enrolled in the Nexus program is required).

Each seasonal position offers an hourly rate of $17.30.

Variable shifts are days, afternoons and midnights to support a 24/7 operation.

Safety shoe allowance and free uniforms are provided.
