Full-Time Garden Crew Member
Job Description
Newport Landscaping, established in 2006, is a design/build firm with a landscape maintenance division, based out of Vineland, ON. Our organization’s continued success and accelerated growth is due in large part to the investments we’ve made in our employees, in our equipment, and the long-term relationships we’ve developed with our clients.
EXPERIENCE/TASKS:
- Basic horticulture knowledge
- Attend to sites across the Region in a company vehicle, service sites
- Maintain standards of cleanliness and organization or jobsites, trucks, equipment, and shop/office area
- Loading and unloading of trucks and trailers in the AM and PM of all required tools and equipment to reach daily goals
- Coordinating with other crews and management to complete tasks
- Reporting of daily duties and ensuring tasks are completely thoroughly
- Weed gardens
- Edging
- Pruning/trimming shrubs
- Mulching garden beds
- Work independently
- Team player
- Spring and Fall clean up
- Switch over to snow removal/salting in winter months (ON CALL)
3 years previous landscape maintenance experience required.
Preference will be given to those who have held a similar position with similar responsibilities.
This job is physically demanding (working outdoors throughout the season), but very rewarding.
Must have reliable transportation to our yard in Vineland, Monday to Friday, 7:00am-5pm.
Salary $16.55-$22.00 per hour. Wage to be determined based on experience.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent. Year-round employment beyond the landscaping season for the right individuals.
