Landscape Construction Crew Lead: searching for 1 knowledgeable, motivated, and energetic individual to join our expanding team.

Newport Landscaping, established in 2006, is a design/build firm with a landscape maintenance division, based out of Vineland, ON. Our organization’s continued success and accelerated growth is due in large part to the investments we’ve made in our employees, in our equipment, and the long-term relationships we’ve developed with our clients.

As a landscape construction crew lead, you will report to the construction manager, and operate a crew of 2-4 landscape construction labourers.

• You must be punctual.
• Diligent in completing all tasks.
• Able to work independently or as a team.
• Problem solving skills and ability to interpret and implement blue prints, carry out all aspects of landscape construction projects from start to finish
• Ability to communicate and efficiently manage a 3–5 person crew during installations, maintain time constraints, coordinate with management and occasionally interact with clients
• Keen eye and attention to detail, ability to foresee issues and handle them before they arise
• Working knowledge of the machinery, power tools, and hand tools related to landscaping.
• Experience with interlocking brick pavers, grading, excavating, retaining walls, armour stone, minor carpentry knowledge all an asset

On site:

• Must be physically able to lift 50lbs
• Operate skid steer, mini-ex, concrete saw, laser level, plate tamper etc. with ease
• Ability to drive a truck and trailer with ease
• Must have a valid Ontario G class driver’s license with clean record.
• 3-Year Drivers Record to be provided to be considered for hire.

Minimum 5 years landscape construction experience.

You must have reliable transportation to our yard in Vineland, ON.

You are responsible for supplying your own steel toed boots, we will supply company hi-vis safety shirts and other job related personal protective equipment.
