Full-Time Night Auditor (1 Position)
Job Description
The Night Auditor is responsible for balancing the revenue and expense transactions, which occurred during the day at the hotel. Responsible for the overall operations and appearance of the front desk of the hotel. Responsible for attending to the needs to the guests. The night auditor is the number one, front line person whose service determines a guest’s experience. More specifically the night auditor is responsible for:
- Providing a first rate guest experience.
- Providing information to guests about hotel policies, services and amenities.
- Responding to requests from guests.
- Selling and upselling rooms to “walk-in” guests.
- Entering/changing reservation information on the computer system.
- Posting charges to guest accounts.
- Processing payments from guests.
- Closing, balancing and making necessary corrections to guest accounts.
- Counting and balancing cash, credit cards and direct bill accounts.
- Investigating and analyzing out of balance situations and making adjustments or corrections as needed.
- Completing various audit reports.
- Listening for or anticipating and responding to guest complaints
- Operating hotel switchboard. Use established greeting when answering the phone or meeting the guest in person. Speak with the attitude of warmth and friendliness.
- Maintaining daily logs.
